Therapist-referred KAP Chat

Are you already working with a therapist or clinician who is trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy? Are you hoping to engage in KAP sessions with them? Did they refer you to Green Couch Psychiatry specifically for a ketamine consult? If so, start here!
This is an opportunity for us to to review ketamine, safety concerns, and expectations around KAP. The price of this appointment includes medical prescreening to help ensure ketamine is a sound treatment option. This appointment is designed to expedite the process of starting KAP sessions with your approved therapist, ensuring appropriate coordination of services and reducing the likelihood of discovering unforeseen barriers on intake. At the end of the chat, we usually proceed with an Initial Consultation (or “intake” appointment).

Initial Consultation
$250
75 minutes
A review of why you’re here, factors influencing how you’ve gotten here, and how we might work together to get where you want to be. This intake appointment includes detailed psychiatric and medical evaluation. You will be asked to complete all required intake forms prior to our meeting. While an initial consultation is not a guarantee of pharmaceutical support or ongoing work together, it is the start of a professional medical relationship.
Path Planning Sessions
$150
45-50 minutes
Recommended for your 2nd appointment, during Path Planning Sessions we hone in on the goals of our work together and map out how to proceed. This appointment provides additional time to explore your history, discuss traditional psychiatric diagnostic labels, and weigh the pros and cons of medications or other treatment approaches- always in light of your unique wants and needs.
Sometimes it’s helpful to have more time to navigate life’s journey. These extended appointments may be booked whenever it seems right to slow down or sort things out.
Standard Follow-Up Appointment
$100
20-30 minutes
We’ll check-in about how you are doing and what factors seem to be influencing your state of being. Maybe we’ll be talking about medications, maybe it’s time spent preparing for or integrating life events, the content depends on how you are and where you want to be.
KAP Session
$375*
3 hours (All clients must arrange for a trusted escort and transportation to safe lodging following KAP sessions; driving is not permitted.)
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions are scheduled for 3-hour blocks which allow for time before and after the peak effects of the medicine. This provides time to prepare for your ketamine experience, and time to readjust to this world as you emerge from your inward journey. It’s recommended you schedule KAP sessions for a day when you can clear your schedule of most demands.
* Medication is sold separately through a trusted compounding pharmacy.
Reduced-Rate Follow-Up (upon approval)
$80
Variable time, usually 20 minutes
Does the cost of treatment pose a significant hardship? Are you feeling well but need an appointment to refill medications that aren’t controlled substances? These appointments are available when we’re in agreement that more time or money is not necessary.
